Volunteer!

Volunteers are an essential ingredient to the successful operation of the 4-H Conference & Retreat Center. We crave your energy, ideas, talent and resources.

Sometimes it only takes a connection to spark progress. What kind of connections do you have? 

• Know someone who would like to lead a project?
• Know someone with home improvement skills that could donate some time making repairs?
• Have access to equipment?
• Have a location where raffle tickets for the Outdoor Sportsmans Raffle could be sold?
• Know some hunters that would love to participate in the raffle?
• Have a group looking for a community service project?

We are a perfect location for award projects like the Boy Scout "Eagle,"  Girl Scout "Gold," 4-H" Diamond Clover," and others.

Love the outdoors? Have just a few hours or a larger block of time? Can you help us on a regular basis?

Skilled and unskilled projects abound! Here is a sample of  2010 projects at the Conference & Retreat Center:

• Roof repairs (1-story buildings)
• Trail maintenance
• Trail refurbishment
• Brush/stick/leaf clean-up
• Gutter cleaning (1-story buildings)
• Power washing
• Light painting
• Burying rain gutters
• Window washing (1-story buildings)
• Construction of open firewood storage shed
• Construction of informational sign
• Preparing flower planters
• Weed whacking

If the outdoors isn't your thing, we are also in need of support with fundraising that might include:

• Selling raffle tickets
• Selling refreshments at events
• Collecting tickets at events
